Eugene Celebration Weekend

Eugene Celebration Weekend started with the annual Slug Parade! This year the weather was really nice compared to the rainy, chilly parades of the past. It was hot and sunny and I was totally over dressed and sweat the whole time. For those of you who haven't experienced Eugene here are some pretty typical parade entries including the peace train and the pot walker.

In true Eugene fashion I volunteered to work in the bike valet for a couple hours to get a free wristband into the Celebration. So, Sherry and I did our work and then went in and had a tofu hot dog for dinner, then met up with John and had our photo taken with this year's Slug Queen. Unfortunately Sara was still sick and was only able to join us for the very end of the night where we listened to several Oregon bands for a couple hours.

The cold mornings seem to be sticking around and when its cold outside there is always a fight for the best spot in front of the heater between these three. Despite Sara's sickness we were still able to power wash the deck/the dog's play pen. We are ready for stain next weekend. Sara also finished her mini me house which will serve as the well cover.
