July 27, 2008

This weekend was a get stuff done around the house weekend. In fact it's Sunday night and I haven't left the property since Friday afternoon. We had great hopes for getting the bathroom built in the guest house on Saturday. Two walls seemed easy enough! Well after spending a full day up there and only nailing in three, eight foot, 2x4s, Sunday was much more productive.

I thought it would be a good idea to wash down the front of the house (too many spider webs). As you can see, nice and clean. What I learned when I was done however, was that one should avoid directly spraying a fire hose up into the eves. Not completely water tight up there! All dry now, but OOPS!!

On Sunday, Sara and Sherry, built the frame for Sherry's new concrete bathroom sink. I moved the miscellaneous wood pile up to the new wood storage area (that Sara built), cut them all to size, and sorted. We also took turns mowing the lawn and we worked on the electrical to the guest house. The girls enjoyed watching it all happen, by sleeping the day away, in the sun up on the deck. A long and very productive day for us all!
